Star Wars Ep. VII: The Force Awakens - A Streamlined Retelling

The galaxy is on the brink of destruction as the First Order seeks to resurrect the dark legacy of the Empire. In this alternate retelling of Star Wars: Episode VII, I've taken a closer look at the characters and plotlines to create a more streamlined narrative.

Kylo Ren's actions have extinguished the new Jedi Order, leaving the galaxy in darkness. The First Order has emerged from the ashes of the Empire, determined to destroy the New Republic and enslave the population once again. In this version of the story, I've minimized the role of Rose Tico, a character who was underdeveloped in The Rise of Skywalker. Instead, she plays a supporting role, helping Finn on his journey without overshadowing him.

Poe Dameron's character arc is also simplified, focusing on his growth as a pilot and leader rather than delving into complex themes. His actions are more straightforward, with fewer unnecessary complications. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren's storyline remains intact, as he struggles with his own identity and the pull of the dark side.

In this retelling, Finn's character takes center stage, with his friendship with Rey driving the plot forward. The duo faces numerous challenges as they battle against the First Order, but the story is streamlined to focus on their core motivations. Hux, another supporting character, is reduced to a minor role, as he fails to impress in his attempts to undermine Kylo Ren.

Throughout this alternate narrative, I've aimed to create a cohesive and engaging storyline that ties together the key characters from all three movies. By streamlining the plotlines, I hope to have created a more satisfying conclusion to the sequel trilogy.
